Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Web Developer to join our development team. As a Web Developer at HamRadioPrep, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our website and other web-based applications. You will collaborate closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless user experience and contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform. Responsibilities:

• Website Development and Maintenance:
  • Design and develop responsive and user-friendly websites using WordPress, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
  • Customize and extend WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers and other developers to implement design mockups and ensure visual consistency.
  • Monitor website performance, conduct regular updates, and resolve any technical issues or bugs.
• WordPress Customization:
  • Customize WordPress themes and templates to align with our brand identity and enhance user experience.
  • Implement and configure plugins to add new functionality and improve website capabilities.
  • Optimize website speed, performance, and security using caching, minification, and other optimization techniques.
  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks, such as database backups and software updates.
• Elementor Development:
  • Utilize Elementor, a drag-and-drop page builder, to create visually appealing and interactive web pages.
  • Build custom widgets, modules, and templates using Elementor to enhance website functionality and design flexibility.
  • Collaborate with the design team to translate mockups and wireframes into fully functional Elementor layouts.
• Zapier Integration:
  • Integrate and automate processes between different web applications and services using Zapier.
  • Develop and configure Zapier workflows (Zaps) to streamline data flow, trigger events, and improve efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Zapier integrations, ensuring seamless data synchronization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Web Developer, with a focus on WordPress development.
• Proficiency in WordPress, including theme development, plugin customization, and database management.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Elementor page builder and building custom Elementor templates.
• Familiarity with Zapier and experience in integrating web applications using its platform.
• Proficient in front-end web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
• Solid understanding of web development concepts, best practices, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
